Adding and completing a producer profile
Create the company that makes your oil and complete its public profile.
A producer is the company that makes the olive oil: a farm, mill, cooperative or bottler. Every brand belongs to one producer, so add the producer first.
Add a producer
Open Producers.
Choose to add a producer.
Enter the company name and choose its country.
Write a short company story (up to 500 characters).
Add the website and social network links, if you have them.
Search for and select the company address.
Save.
Complete the profile
Each producer shows a completion percentage. It counts the details readers look for:
Detail | Share of the score |
|---|---|
Company name | 10% |
Country | 20% |
Company story | 30% |
Website | 20% |
Social network link | 10% |
Verified address | 10% |
A story needs at least 100 characters and 15 words to count. Brands, results and tourism listings don't affect the percentage, so you can reach 100% before you enter or win.
Why the profile matters
Producer profiles appear across the NYIOOC network, including the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, when you have a winning oil. See Your listing in the Official Guide and World Ranking.
