What No Award and Defective mean
Understanding results that didn't receive an award, and how they're kept private.
No Award
No Award means the oil was judged but didn't reach the level of a Gold or Silver Award. You'll still see its intensity and any sensory notes released with it.
Defective
Defective means the judges found one or more sensory defects. Your result lists up to three defects, each with an explanation and, where available, its likely causes. Use them to look into production or storage.
Can I compete again?
Yes. Enter the same brand again in a future competition year. See Entering the same brand again.
